Amagami SS + Episode 1


- i was a fan of the first series, so the sequel was a definite watch for me. if you didn't watch the first one, then you should! so then this recap will make a lot more sense.


- on a side note, i'll be doing most of my recaps with lots of screencaps. i do this because i like to let the characters themselves sum it up.

-we start with Ayatsuji Tsukasa's arc, one of my favorites from the first season. i won't spoil possibly the greatest first minute of an episode that an Ayatsuji fan like myself could wish for.
instead, i'll jump right to the story.

why's junichi so surprised?..

..because Ayatsuji-san enlists him as her vice president for the student council election.

Being a senior, Haruka can't run for the election.

I think Hibiki should have an arc of her own.

Umehara and friends help out with the campaign.

New character! Kurosawa Noriko.

She's pretty much established as the enemy within a couple seconds of meeting her.

Why? Because..

..Kurosawa is also running for student council president.

And she lists none other than Junichi as her vice president.

Using her father's political influence, she basically threatens people to vote for her.

Oh, and Sae's running too ^^

Ayatsuji fumes while Kaoru gets on Junichi's case for being vice presidential candidate

for Kurosawa, although it wasn't his doing.

Suspicious Ayatsuji questions Junichi on whether he knows Kurosawa or not.

He doesn't.

Does anyone else like this side of her personality better?

To regain voters, Junichi proposes to Tsukasa that they make posters.

He does a photoshoot and of course, being himself..

Makes Ayatsuji angry.

Can't say i don't like her being angry, though.

Team Ayatsuji regains lots of voters.

She blackmails the only guy that's running 

by stuffing his bag with books Junichi and Umehara would enjoy.

All the girls voting for him stop voting for him.

Kurosawa's friends.

I think they improved the art this season.

 Even these minor characters look pretty decent.

With Ayatsuji's votes climbing closer to Kurosawa's,

Kurosawa has to use her last resort,

Junichi.

And as Kurosawa plans, Ayatsuji sees.

END

A great first episode, in my opinion.

Can't say that i dislike Kurosawa, though.

She's one of those characters that i can't dislike, for some reason.

Hope she appears later in the show.
