Amagami SS+ [アマガミSS+] Episode 3: Sakurai Rihoko [桜井 梨穂子] Arc Part 1

-i'm reaaaaally behind on putting up recaps for Amagami SS+ >_< 

sooo since the wonderful Nanasaki Ai's arc comes out today (^~^) , i'm gonna go ahead and recap both episodes 3 and 4, which is Sakurai Rihoko's arc, today too.

This way i can get Ai's arc up quite soon ^^

-for some reason i didn't take as many screenshots for this episode as i did for the next one..

oh well.

if you didn't watch the first season of Amagami SS, you should.. 

or else this will make no sense xD

We start off with Rihoko's friend Itou Kanae-chan
coming to wake Rihoko up for school.

This time Rihoko's arc is set in the future,
after the seniors from the previous season have already graduated.
It's the summer of Rihoko's senior year in high school.

After her seniors Manaka and Ruriko leave the Tea Club to her,
it's just her and Junichi.

Even with the time jump.. there was no progress between her and Junichi.
At this point, I really hoped they would make these two episodes for Rihoko
so much better than the ones she had in the first season..
and they did ^.^

Takahashi-senseiiiii ^^

She feels the same way I do.

Umehara and his ecchi collection.

Tsukahara Hibiki comes to visit Ai-chan,
who seems to be the new captain of the Swim Team now that Hibiki has graduated.
This really has nothing to do with Rihoko's arc but i love both these characters ^~^
Hibiki deserves an arc for herself. 

Back to Rihoko..

whaaa.
but i guess it's okay.
they're childhood friends after all.

After Junichi's question,
they go to the infirmary to check Rihoko's weight ;D

;D
i wonder if that works.
i'll try it.

They have a flashback to when they used to 'compete'
with each other in terms of height.

Junichi was a perv in elementary school, too.

When Rihoko turns out taller than him, young Junichi suggests..

..chest measurements.
=.=

And obviously, Rihoko wins this one.

;D
Nice one, Junichi.

He hasn't changed.

In the end, Junichi wins this time,
because they add the measurements from height and chest together.

Afterwards..

It seems as if he never met Kaoru in this version of Rihoko's arc.
So Rihoko is his best friend.

When out buying groceries for dinner,
Rihoko runs into her former seniors.

Back at Junichi's house,
Miya and Junichi prepare for Rihoko's arrival.

Rihoko samples Ruriko and Manaka's food.

They went from Tea to Tennis.
And they're selling fish because they're in the seafood sector of their college.

On the way to Junichi's house, Rihoko runs into a classmate.
Earlier in the episode, he was complaining about not having a girlfriend.

Rihoko ends up walking and talking with him until they reach..

..a dark alley.

hah whaaaa..?
not something that was expected when starting an arc like Rihoko's.
Of course, we know his love isn't real.. he's just desperate for a girl.

Rihoko turns him down because..

..she loves Junichi.

..and watching from a distance is Junichi, who spotted Rihoko
while buying ice cream.

END

 -most of this episode was something you'd expect from Rihoko's arc if you cared to watch her arc in the first season.
the end was pretty surprising though.
it actually makes you wait in anticipation for the next episode.. which i'll be covering next, since i've already seen it ;D
so next up, Sakurai Rihoko Arc Part 2!
