YUKINE KURISU. She's had some cool moments since she first appeared in episode 3.. but this episode.. This episode made her pretty awesome for me. Even though we first saw her personal symphogear in the previous episode, this one makes it better.
A couple stills of her awesomeness in episode 8 below. Put them up here because the other ones are lower quality ^^; and i like these ones better anyway.
I've been watching this show since it aired not too long ago, and i like its pace and comedy. it reminds of me a bit of last spring's Nichijou, with its jokes and randomness. The scene above is just an example from episode 1 of how awesome this show is. The girl with the purple hair, Agiri-san, is amazing. About the Scene: "Nice desu ne~" ナイスですね〜
Original Kill Me Baby Synopsis: Sonya is an assassin attending a normal school. Yasuna is an airhead who follows Sonya around, unaware of how dangerous she is. This adaptation of a 4-panel comic focuses on the adorable ultra-violence that erupts when they try to get along.
You can watch more Agiri-san ninja awesomeness in the series, here.
AniPose of the Day #3! Here, we have Minato Tomoka of last year's series Ro-Kyu-Bu! As you can see, she has just shot a 3-pointer swoosh from the other side of the basketball court in a professional fashion, as if to say, "that's where the money is", or "For the homies back on the street." To witness more of Tomoka's street professionalism, you can watch the series here.
Original Ro-Kyu-Bu! Synopsis: Hasegawa Subaru enters a basketball club of Nanashiba High School, but the activity of the club gets suspended because the club leader falls in love with an 11 year old daughter of the coaching teacher. Subaru’s aunt asks him to coach a basketball club of elementary school girls. At first, he is reluctant to teach small girls, but he devotes himself to the club as he knows the complex circumstances of them.
AND, IN OTHER NEWS,
Tomoka's seiyuu [voice actress], the wonderfully moe Hanazawa Kana ^~^, has her birthday tomorrow, though in Japan it's already February the 25th soooo.. best 23rd birthday wishes~
Some of my favorite anime roles voiced by HanaKana:
- i really should get this up before episode 7 comes out tomorrow, and i get behind again ^^; oh, and since i don't quite have the time now, this'll be a *so so sugoi dump* :D [which really means i don't wanna caption these 270+ pics >_<] Other Inu x Boku SS recaps here. Other so so sugoi dumps here.
^~^
Now that the above picture has made you ^~^, let's move on to the episode..
AniPose of the Day #2! Here, we have Kageyama Torako of the series Hyakko! As you can see, she is getting into a battle stance in an epic fashion, as if to say "come get some", or "Nothing will get by me while i'm standing on this couch." You can check out more of Torako's epicness in the series, here. And since this is also an AniScene of the Day..
i might as well have Hyakko be the series of said AniScene :D Scene is from episode 1, and introduces you to the characters in a quite awesome manner.
Original Hyakko! Synopsis: On their first day of high school shy Ayumi Nonomura and taciturn Tatsuki Iizuka become lost on the immense campus of Kamizono Academy. An irresistible force of nature named Torako Kageyama accompanied by her best friend Suzume Saotome appears in front of them. Led, sometimes pushed, by Torako, the girls and their classmates work through problems of school and adolescence.
Other AniPose of the Day here. Past AniScene of the Day live here.
Thought of having a post series like this while recapping one of the recent Symphogear episodes.. And now here it is! AniPose of the Day #1! Here, we have Minami Kana of the Minami-ke series. As you can see, she is holding up her index finger and her thumb in a sassy fashion, as if to say "Oh no you didn't", or "You best be quiet, son." You can see more of Kana's sassiness in the actual series, here. More AniPose of the Day to come!!
-nearly forgot to put the most recent recap of PapaKiki up ^^; ah well. better late than never.. maybe? >_<; -more PapaKiki recaps here. On to the episode~
The anime is KimiKiss Pure Rogue, and the scene is between two main characters whose feelings gradually developed for each other throughout the whole series.
It's a great scene. Love Futami-san.
Btw, i'm pretty sure that this episode, in particular this scene, had the best animation and art quality in the show.. especially with the way Futami-san's hair looks in her apartment.
This a romance anime, to go along with the Valentine's theme, and i highly suggest you watch it even if you're not a romance anime fan.
KimiKiss Pure Rogue Original Synopsis:
Kouichi Sanada and Kazuki Aihara's childhood friend Mao Mizusawa has returned after living in France for several years. Kouichi is surprised to learn that his mother has agreed to let Mao stay with them, since her parents are remaining overseas for the time being. The three friends help each other deal with the ups and downs of high school romance.
You can go ahead and watch more Kimikiss Pure Rogue here.
And now, i leave you with more of my favorite anime Valentine's pics.
Enjoy, and happy Valentine's day.

i really need to get my Amagami SS Plus recaps up >_< i'm so behind...
today, i'm posting episode 4, tomorrow it''l be episode 5, and then i might try to put 6 up when it comes out on thursday.
-anyway, some Ririchiyo-chan is always good.
too much Ririchiyo-chan is even better.
more Ririchiyo-chan and Inu x Boku SS recaps here. oh. and this is a *so so sugoi dump*! :D why? 1) theres like more pictures than my Symphogear episode 6 recap, which is over 250 and 2) i'm lazy. it's valentine's day. more so so sugoi dumps here. On to the episode..
-been talking to friends about Symphogear pretty often lately, so i figured i should go ahead and put this up now. - oh. and there are like over 250 screenshots here so.. it's a *so so sugoi dump*! :D
oh snap.
more Symphogear recaps live here. other so so sugoi dumps are here. Episode 6! This episode is actually pretty load back for the most part, until some pretty surprising stuff happens toward the end. Read on to find out..
This scene.. it's just so epic, like the rest of the show. We all know we've done this at least once before ;D Anyway, in the scene our main characters Tadakuni, Hidenori, and Yoshitake decide to add their own voices to a nearby group of middle school girls. What results is total awesomeness and also a hint of depression. This clip is from the most recent episode: episode 5. You can watch the show here.
Daily Lives of High School Boys Original Synopsis: Tadakuni, Hidenori, and Yoshitake are students at the all-boys academy, Sanada North High School. This is a tale about just that—their daily lives as students. Winning the basketball tournament? Finding true love? You won't find any of that here. Whether it's sparking random arguments while hanging out with friends, meeting that one weird co-worker at a part-time job, or even letting imaginations run wild on a windy afternoon, we've all experienced the show's ordinary but true-to-life themes at one point or another.
-screenshots are back to normal size :D figured out a better way to get them on here so they're not so small. -Anyway, this week's episode had artwork that was exceptionally good, especially towards the end..
this song is nice~ and the opening sequence is so moe~ Kitamura Eri [喜多村英梨] lends her wonderful voice talent to this opening, because she's the voice actress for main character Takanashi Miu. Ideally, we should all go and buy the CD to support Kitamura Eri and her career, but i really can't blame you if you go to crazycake here and get the song there.. Btw, i love the album cover of Eri ^~^
Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai Original Synopsis: College student Yūta Segawa is suddenly given custody of his older sister's three daughters, aged 14, 10, and 3. They're now stuck living together in a 10 square meter apartment. Meanwhile Raika, the object of his affection, has a fondness of cuteness, and his unexpected arrivals may finally offer an opportunity for them to get together.
If you like what you see above, check out PapaKiki here. In other news also involving Kitamura Eri..
i've been having to catch up with my Symphogear recaps lately, so it's no wonder that i have Zwei Wing's awesome song Gyakkou no Flugel stuck in my head. love the way it starts, and also all the sounds of the song. not to mention the incredible voice talent ^^
Gyakkou no Flugel lyrics available here. You can watch Symphogear here. The amazing scene above is from episode one.
i fell behind on recapping Senhime Zesshou Symphogear, so i'm gonna try and do both episode 4 and 5 today.
i really love this show; it's so original and captivating. anyway, since i totally forgot about the image limit with blogger and picasa, i have to make all the pics thumbnail size. they'll get bigger if you click on them, though. also, there's like 160 screenshots here so.. it's a *so so sugoi dump*! alriiiighttttt :D other Symphogear recaps live here. other so so sugoi dumps are here. now, on to the episode..
真夏のフォトグラフ [Manatsu no Photograph] is such a peaceful and relaxing song. When i think about it, all of azusa's songs are peaceful and relaxing. Anyway, this song is the ending song from anime Astarotte no Omocha. If you like azusa's lovely vocals, you can check out her site here.
-as promised, i'm putting up recaps for both episodes of Sakurai Rihoko's arc up today so i can cover Nanasaki Ai's arc sooner.. since it comes out today ^^;
-i have quiiiite a lot of screenshots for this episode, so you know what that means..
-i'm reaaaaally behind on putting up recaps for Amagami SS+ >_<
sooo since the wonderful Nanasaki Ai's arc comes out today (^~^) , i'm gonna go ahead and recap both episodes 3 and 4, which is Sakurai Rihoko's arc, today too.
This way i can get Ai's arc up quite soon ^^
-for some reason i didn't take as many screenshots for this episode as i did for the next one..
oh well.
if you didn't watch the first season of Amagami SS, you should..
This series is awesome. This song is awesome. This singer is awesome. So so sugoiiii ^^ but really, if you don't know who Nakajima Megumi is, then you should find out right now! And this reminds me.. i really need to get the recaps for this show up.. since it's airing right now and i've already got my screenshots for all the episodes. It's pretty much captivating beyond belief. Or it is for me, anyway. It's different from your average mecha show or average show of any genre.
Original Rinne no Lagrange Synopsis: Madoka Kyouno is an energetic girl who is full of passion. As the proud, and only, member of the Kamogawa Girls' High School Jersey Club, she goes around helping people in need. Madoka's life is turned upside down when she is suddenly asked by a mysterious girl named Lan to pilot a robot. Motivated by her desire to protect the people and city of Kamogawa, Madoka agrees to pilot the resurrected Vox robot to fight against extraterrestrials that have come to attack Earth.
If my raving has convinced you to check it out, you can watch the show here.
-oh well, lots of pics on this one. i should probably make it so so sugoi dump... and that i will.
The last episode of PapaKiki left us with Sora ^^ finally letting her emotions out and crying of the death(?) of her parents. Not quite sure whether or not they died though. It said they were missing.. and it'd be quite nice if they arrived home in like the last episode.
People who've read the light novel already know though.
